Sales Associate

Premier Cru is hiring a Sales Associate for its English Harbour retail store at Harbour Walk, Antigua. The store is part of Premier Beverages Limited, purveyors of fine wines, spirits and beverages, and the role is based at English Harbour during the season. About the role: The Sales Associate supports the store's management team and helps the store run well, working toward the store's sales, operations and customer service goals. You'll spend time on the shop floor and out around the harbour, connecting with customers and bringing in new business. Sales and promotion: - Coordinate product deliveries to customers - Walk the docks and get to know yacht owners, restaurant and bar owners and other businesses in the area to find new customers - Introduce and promote new products to customers - Upsell in line with portfolio targets - Help shape pricing by reviewing merchandising, watching sales trends and spotting when a promotion is needed - Help plan and run marketing activities and in-store tastings Customer service: - Help customers choose wines, spirits and other beverages - Answer customer questions and handle complaints - Build rapport with new and regular customers to understand what they need now and in the future Day to day you'll also: - Keep shelves, displays and the wine selection neat, stocked and correctly priced - Help with receiving stock and keeping inventory counts accurate - Process sales and keep the store tidy and welcoming Requirements: - Knowledge of the wine and spirits industry - At least five (5) years of experience in retail, sales or customer service - Knowledge of basic sales strategies and retail inventory control - Computer literacy - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - A proven record of great customer service - Fluency in one (1) foreign language, preferably French or Spanish The right candidate is mature and self-driven, with a strong work ethic and lots of initiative.
